I’ve been a client here for over a year, having gone through couples counseling, individual counseling, and medication management. The staff here are all wonderful, and I have had great success here. Their hours are very flexible, which is great for my work schedule. I’m so glad I decided to make that first appointment!

I just lost my last therapist at another counseling center (she left the practice), so I have been on the hunt for a new one. I have a loooooong list of really specific issues, and I was looking for someone who not only had experience in as many of these “checkboxes” as possible, but also had regular weekly availability for appointments, and accepted my insurance. I had narrowed my search down to three therapists. One had no availability at all (she works only 2 days per week), one had no availability until the spring, and but with the last one I called, Pamela Bourque at Charles River Counseling Center, I feel like I have truly hit the jackpot! The receptionist, Jen, is always cheerful and optimistic, with just the right amount of compassion mixed in to be a perfect fit for her position. Pamela, the counselor, is extremely kind, non judgemental, and genuine. She is a very good listener, and offers helpful advice and guidance with different perspectives throughout. The entire office is accepting to alternative lifestyle choices, and handicapped accessible. Jen always goes the extra mile to make me feel comfortable and is always ready with a smile and a positive attitude. It really makes a difference. I highly recommend this office and Pamela Bourque.
